RODEO STUFF

FRIDAY EVENING, SATURDAY AFTERNOON, AND SUNDAY AFTERNOON (2 HOUR SHIFTS)

  • TICKET BOOTH
    Man a ticket booth, either working the credit card machine or selling tickets.
  • GREETER
    Welcome people at the entrance gate, tear off stubs, stamp hands, And pass out Programs.
  • MERCHANDISE BOOTH
    Sell T-shirts, hats, etc., at the merchandise booth.
  • SECURITY
    Assist the security committee by standing at one of the gates, so as to prohibit entry by unauthorized people into the contestants' area.
  • VOLUNTEER GREETER
    Greet and thank volunteers as they arrive. Direct them to their positions.

SATURDAY 8 a.m. - 11 a.m @ RODEO PARADE

  • TICKET SELLER
    Walk amongst the parade spectators, selling tickets to the rodeo.

 

PARADE STUFF

  • SIGNAGE
    Put out signs [banners, no-parking] along the staging area before the parade and take them down afterward.
  • SET UP/CONSTRUCTION
    Pick up and set chairs and tables for registration, judges' stands and anywhere else needed. Take them down and return them after Parade.
  • GREETERS
    Meet entries on highway. Explain the process and direct them to the right registration table.
  • RUNNERS
    Coordinate arriving entries with the registration tables, give parade number placards to the entry and send them to their parking spot.
  • HORSE PARKING
    Direct horse entries to the horse parking area and direct them to the registration tables.
  • REGISTRATION
    Verify entry information and issue parade number placards.
  • PARADE WALKERS
    Help groups of ten entries get parked in the right order and take care of any last-minute details. Walk with the group along the route and help keep the Parade moving.
  • ECOLOGY
    Clean up after the Parade. Remove trash and any debris from the route.
